Aisling is a character from the sports, comedy, animated series, Ballybraddan. She is best friends with Sam. Being more of the girly girl type and the total opposite of Sam in that respect, Aisling doesn't care for hurling. However, she is a loyal supporter of Sam's team and attends the games as a spectator. Aisling has a humorous side and she is well-capable of defending herself.
About Aisling[]
In "Werewolves of Ballybraddan", at the library, Aidan attempts to convince Aisling that she should wear mistletoe, but she refuses as she believes that's for babies and she says she's not one. Solo's mom tells her she should wear it anyway as protection from the local, legendary curse. She hangs a wreath around her neck that's actually garlic instead of mistletoe. When Mr. Hanratty enters, he sees most everyone is wearing mistletoe or garlic except him and Ziggy. He also sees there are no blood oranges. When he mentions that Ziggy shouldn't have to wear mistletoe if he doesn't want to do so, Aisling tells him, "Okay, then you have it", tossing one at him. Seemingly frightened of it, he avoids it, then comes up with the excuse that he can't wear any because he's allergic to it as it makes him break out in a rash. With that, he leaves. After a moment of pause, Aisling breaks it by saying, "He's allergic to mistletoe, of course, he's frightened". Solo's mom agrees with her before looking at and showing a page in a book titled "Ballybraddan Legends".
When Halloween night comes, Aisling and her friends listen to Aidan's story about the legendary werewolf. The story is interrupted when everyone hears what sounds like a wolf howl coming from outside the garage door. Aisling tries to be cool about it by saying it's just the wind and Sam does the same. After the story is told, there's a wolf howl again and some of the boys prepare to fend off the wolf with mistletoe and dipped eggs. As the garage door opens, everyone sees what seems to be a real werewolf, who is pelted. But it's really Mr. Hanratty behind a werewolf mask and wearing fake fangs. Mr. Hanratty reassures Ziggy that it was all just to psych him up for the Halloween party. At the party, Aisling is dressed as a black cat, wearing cat's ears and trying to bite an apple hanging on a string while blindfolded.
