Buster Baxter is Arthur Read's best friend and a student of Lakewood Elementary School in Marc Brown's Arthur books and the PBS Kids television series based on them. He is an eight year old male rabbit with a fascination of aliens from outer space, eating food, and telling and hearing jokes. During the second half of season 2, Buster leaves Elwood City to travel with his father, Bo, for two months starting with the episode "Arthur's Faraway Friend" and ending with the season 3 premiere episode "Buster's Back". This was due to the fact that his voice actor, Daniel Brochure, decided to take a sabbatical to Australia. The season 4 episode "Buster's Breathless" showed that Buster was diagnosed with asthma and had to use an inhaler to help him breathe. In 2004, he had his own spin-off series Postcards from Buster that showcases his travels with Bo and films them with his video camera.
