Flappy is a character from the series, Nico. He is a classmate of Nico's and Oscar's sidekick, and henchman. He is so nicknamed due to his big ears tending to wiggle a lot. He often brings up things his dad mentions and begins with, "My dad says..." before quoting him. Flappy has a crush on Aisha, who just won't give him the time of day and he gives her allergies being around him. He is short, an egoist, and thinks he can use psychokinesis.

Flappy, who is dressed for Halloween as an army general, and Oscar walk on a sidewalk where they find Nico, and his friends. At one point, Flappy trips and falls, causing Patty and Aisha to be amused by this. Unamused, he tells the girls not to laugh at him as he's a general, but Aisha tells him to relax. Rather than trick-or-treating, Oscar and Flappy plan to sneak and take a look inside Mr. Caifas's mansion. Flappy repeats what his dad said, that nobody should break into others' homes unless they were invited. Nico, Tom, Patty, and Aisha then decide to skip trick-or-treating and check out the mansion as well.
Oscar and Flappy are at the front of the mansion and find a space between two walls as the entrance to the yard. While Oscar climbs a wall, Flappy tells him it'd be more courteous to ring the doorbell. Then, he finds a hole at the bottom of the wall to crawl through and enter that way as Oscar loses his balance, and falls down to the other side. As Oscar asks him why he didn't let him know about that sooner and begins to smack him upside the head, he misses when Flappy ducks, and cowers. They continue by heading to the backdoor, but Flappy tells Oscar that they must be careful as there could be some traps set up in the backyard. Flappy turns out to be right when he steps into one, a cage closes up on him, trapping him, and he's pulled up high near the leaves of a tree by a rope. He compares himself to being a bird trapped in a birdcage. Oscar goes in without him. Flappy attempts to use his mental powers to free himself. Nico, Tom, Patty, and Aisha arrive to Mr. Caifas's home when Nico asks the girls if they hear someone. They look up and find Flappy in the cage, asleep and snoring as Patty tells the others. Flappy wakes up and is glad, and relieved, to see them. He tells them about the hole at the bottom of a wall at the end of the front yard, then notices Mr. Caifas heading towards an upstairs window to look out of it and tells the others he's coming. They go off to hide. After Mr. Caifas walks away from the window, Flappy jokes that he's now at the top rank of the army. Aisha sneezes and asks him to be quiet. Nico asks if anybody knows how to get him down from there. When they hear Oscar's cries, they think he's in trouble and go inside to save him. Flappy asks what he is to do, Patty tells him to stand guard and he follows her command. A bat suddenly flies towards Flappy and he tries to get it to go away by waving at it.
While Patty and Aisha look for Oscar in one upstairs room, Patty looks outside and sees Flappy doing something in the cage, but she's not sure what. Then, she theorizes that he must be trying to look inside a window of the mansion, saying that's a good idea. Aisha doubts that as she thinks Flappy stopped having ideas when he was born. It's revealed that Flappy is being pestered by the bat again and he kicks at him, telling him to "go drink someone else's blood", thinking the bat must be of the vampire variety.
Later, Flappy has a change of heart, deciding to let the bat keep him company while they keep watch together and the bat is content with this. Next, he explains that since bats are blind, they use their ears to pick up sound waves and vibrations to know what's going on around them as his dad mentioned. He hears Oscar and says that must be him again. Then, Flappy tries sawing the bars of the cage with the handles of his glasses, but has no such luck in freeing himself, as he says it looks easier in movies. After Nico, Oscar, and Tom exit the cellar, Flappy spots them and lets the bat know there they are, holding his glasses in front of the bat's eyes, which clears his vision. After Patty and Aisha return outside as well, they and Tom find Flappy still stuck in the cage. Flappy quotes what his dad said about what goes up must come down most of the time. Aisha borrows one of Nico's arrows and crossbow, using them to get Flappy down and out of the cage. With one shot, she manages to hit the target with the arrow successfully, the cage comes down and breaks, releasing Flappy. He is so glad and grateful, he wants to give Aisha a kiss, but she keeps away from him, amusing Nico and Patty. When Nico and most everybody else have reunited at the cemetery, Flappy still chases Aisha and still just wants one kiss. She tells him she should've just left him in the cage and asks why he doesn't look for Oscar instead.
