Franklin "Frank" Wendell Welker is an American actress and voice actor who specializes in voice acting. He is one of the highest-grossing actors in Hollywood. Welker's first notable voice role was Fred Jones in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, a role he has reprised in most subsequent spin-offs and adaptations (he is also the current voice of Scooby-Doo himself as of 2002). His range extends to such varied characters as Ralph the Guard and Runt from Animaniacs, Ray Stantz and Slimer on The Real Ghostbusters, Megatron and Soundwave from Transformers, Abu from Disney's Aladdin, Baby Kermit in the original Muppet Babies cartoon, Dr. Claw and Brain from Inspector Gadget, Father Time on Histeria!, Santa's Little Helper (the dog) from The Simpsons, Hefty Smurf in the 1980s Smurfs cartoon, Curious George in the film and TV series of the same name, and Garfield in various productions from 2007 to 2023.
