- Actor Ken Page, who voiced Oogie Boogie in Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, died at the age of 70 on September 30th.
- Likely inspired by Freeform's 31 Nights of Halloween, Nickelodeon is running their own month-long Halloween programming event this year, 31 Nights of Fright.
- For their 31st anniversaries, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus will be returning to theaters starting October 11th and October 18th, respectively.
- James Earl Jones died at the age of 93 on September 9th. Best known for voicing Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise and Mufasa in Disney's The Lion King, he also provided a few guest voices in the early Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" specials.
- Peter Renaday, who voiced Splinter in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon (including its Halloween episode), died on September 8th at the age of 89.
- Martin Mull, who voiced Governor Kevin on Teamo Supremo (including its Halloween episode) and Vlad Masters on Danny Phantom, died at the age of 80 on June 27th.
- MeTV launched a spin-off channel named MeTV Toons, which is devoted entirely to classic animation, on June 25th. Not unlike Warner Bros. Discovery's own Boomerang, the channel features such classic WB-owned cartoons as Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, and Popeye, along with classic cartoons from other non-Disney studios, such as The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Woody Woodpecker, Inspector Gadget, and The Real Ghostbusters.
