"New Haunts" is the first Halloween episode of the Nickelodeon animated series The Casagrandes, produced as the first segment of the third episode in the show's first season.
Synopsis[]
It is Halloween in Great Lakes City, and Ronnie Anne and Sid are excited because a sixth grader named Kingston has invited them to his party tonight. However, Ronnie Anne realizes she will have to miss out on her and Bobby setting up a haunted house (which they're doing at the Casagrande mercado now that they've moved to Great Lakes City) and doing the "vampire boogie" dance. When she tells Bobby about this, Bobby agrees to let her skip out on their Halloween tradition, saying she should make the best of her first Halloween in the city, and he has CJ and Carl helping him this year.

That night, Ronnie Anne and Sid head to Kingston's party, dressed as a gumball machine and a lobster, respectively. But when they arrive, they find that nobody else is wearing a costume, since Kingston believes they're too old for them. Ronnie and Sid attempt to act cool at the party, but then Sid loses her costume's left claw in the punch bowl, leading to a chain reaction of events that result in the two girls accidentally making a mess of everything (during which the dome on Ronnie Anne's costume gets popped). The girls leave the party to avoid further humiliation.
Still wanting to do something special for her first Halloween in the city, Ronnie Anne decides to call Sameer and learns that there's another party going on at the skate park. Thinking this isn't a costume party either, the girls throw their damaged costumes in the dumpster. Unfortunately, when they arrive at the skate park, the bouncer informs them that it is a mandatory-costume party, and when they try telling him that they're dressed as mimes, he tells them that mimes aren't allowed either. The girls are forced to get their now-smelly costumes out of the dumpster so they can be allowed into the party. However, shortly after catching up with Sameer, Sid finds a rat crawling about in the back of her lobster costume. As Sid flails about in a panic, she and Ronnie fall into the half-pipe and then fly pretty high upwards before falling back down, destroying their costumes and getting them kicked out of the party (the rat is allowed to stay).
Ronnie Anne and Sid come back to the Casagrande apartment, where they find their fellow tenants raving about the haunted mercado. When Bobby asks how their night went, the girls tell him it was awful due to all the setbacks, and Ronnie Anne admits maybe she should've just stuck with her and Bobby's tradition, saying she will definitely do so next year. Bobby, however, appreciates that she was willing to try something different, and then tells them that he and the boys haven't done the vampire boogie yet. The episode ends on Bobby, Ronnie Anne, Sid, Carl, and CJ performing the dance in front of the mercado.

Trivia[]
- In Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's VLOG Episode 14, the events of this episode and The Loud House episode "Tricked!" are both referred to as having happened "last year", indicating that the two episodes took place on the same Halloween night.
- Fittingly, Bobby and his girlfriend Lori both dress up as vampires in these episodes.
- Additionally, since it is mentioned in this episode that this is Bobby and Ronnie Anne's first Halloween in Great Lakes City, that indicates that this episode chronologically takes place before The Loud House Thanksgiving episode "The Loudest Thanksgiving", which was stated to be their first Thanksgiving in the city.
