The Jimmy Dean Show: Episode 107 is the Halloween episode of The Jimmy Dean Show that debuted on ABC on October 31, 1963.
Plot[]
Rowlf the Dog appears in the opening number, sporting a cowboy hat. He attempts to say "Howdy!", although a ghost costume appears behind the fence, scaring Rowlf.
For his main bit, Jimmy Dean sings the first part of "That Old Black Magic," when Rowlf rises from behind the bench, wearing a gorilla mask attempting to scare Jimmy. Jimmy says to the hound he isn't scared, resulting in Rowlf taking off the mask, exclaiming: "Killjoy!". Rowlf then claims the only one that is scared on Halloween is him. Jimmy asks what's Rowlf scared about: "Halloween!". Rowlf explains that his next door neighbors have a chicken in the backyard, when he went past, the chicken started clucking. "All I can say is, I nearly laid the egg."
Rowlf also explains a couple of kids tied a tin-can on his tail. "Ever tried to wag a pound and a half of spaghetti and meatballs?". Jimmy thinks the kid didn't mean to harm him, although Rowlf asks him how would he like it for that to happen to him, with Jimmy responding: "I don't have a tail.". Rowlf reveals Jimmy's so nice to him he keeps forgetting he's not a dog. Rowlf starts to think a witch might get him, although Jimmy tells him there isn't such a thing about witches. Rowlf's still afraid of one thing: "I'm afraid you're lying." Jimmy repeats again and Rowlf closes the case, although he didn't say anything about ghosts, and ghouls, and monsters, and vampires.
Jimmy interrupts him with "That goes without saying.", although Rowlf begs him to say it. Jimmy tells Rowlf to repeat after him. "There are no ghosts, there are no ghouls, there are no monsters." As Jimmy stops there, Rowlf starts to exclaim "There are only vampires!". He then tells Jimmy to stick with his side and never stay out of his sight as the two share a duet of "Me and My Shadow". Towards the end of the song, Jimmy finds the gorilla mask shown earlier and scares Rowlf with it.
