Violet Gray is a major female character from the newspaper comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. Introduced in the comic in 1951, she is a snobbish young girl who is best friends with Patty and Lucy and frequently bullies Charlie Brown (she sometimes abuses him even worse than Lucy). Her last name was mentioned in the strip published on April 4, 1953. Unlike Patty, Violet continued to appear frequently in the strip until 1984, with her last appearance being on November 27, 1997.

In the special It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Violet holds a Halloween party to which the other characters go after trick-or-treating. Charlie Brown dances with joy when he receives an invitation to Violet's party, although Lucy insists that he wasn't supposed to be invited. Later, at the party, Violet draws a pumpkin face on the back of Charlie Brown's head, as they are using him as a model for her jack-o-lantern. She is last seen coming to the pumpkin patch with her friends to listen to how angry Sally is at Linus then take her away with them and presumably sharing her Halloween candy with Sally.
